Lacking a better website to put this on
I'm posting it here on my blog hoping that people might find it
anyway.
I went to Australia as an au pair with
aussie au pairs in 2011, january to august. Unfortunately my
experience wasn't that great. I didn't feel like the agency really
took any care of me after having matched me with an appropriate
australian family. They got my flight details before I left Sweden
and since then I haven't heard anything from them. I felt like I was
alone when problems and disagreements arose with my hostfamily.
Having said this I want to add that I
was able to work through the problems and get along okay with my
hostfamliy and stayed my full 7 months. I hope no one feels put of
from beeing an au pair after reading this, because I'm definatley
happy I went. However I would not recommend the agency Aussie Au
Pairs to anyone.
I hope this might be of help to all of
you out there who are thinking about being au pairs and, like i did
before I went, are trying to find a good agency.
